For 59th Medical Wing – Science and Technology for Aerospace Research Team (START)

Customer: 59th Medical Wing, Joint Base San Antonio

Scope: Scientific, technical, and research support for clinical and translational studies.

ASI supports the 59th MDW with research in trauma care, force health protection, aerospace medicine, and pharmaceutical development. Our laboratory and program management staff advance discoveries that directly impact warfighter health, performance, and recovery.

Highlights:

  • Conducted studies in lyophilized plasma, space medicine, and G-force tolerance.
  • Ensured full compliance with Federalwide Assurance (FWA) and all applicable regulatory standards.
  • Supported translational research linking laboratory discoveries to operational medicine.
  • Developed collaborative relationships with NASA, AFRL, and academic research partners.
